About The Artwork
The highly expressive, spontaneous, and textural surface is alive with color and warmth. The painting is framed in a distressed white wooden frame. I'm interested in semi-abstract biomorphic imagery. I enjoy how visual ambiguity engages the viewer and invites them to project their own imagination onto the piece. The absence of explicit representation and suggestive imagery appeals to me. I am also interested in developing surface texture and experimenting with different media. I enjoy the process of developing a painting without a clear direction or image in advance. I allow it to unfold and lead me into unexpected and creative directions.
