The original photograph was a manipulated abstract colour photograph which I took in a birch tree forest near my home in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. I had the photograph printed on Hahnemuhle Textured German Etching fine art paper. I then painted on top of the photograph. Portions of the original photograph are still visible.
