Rostrata de Coahuila Painting

Beauty and nature are terms that match harmoniously. I have admired the Yucca Rostrata since I was a kid and I could tell there was a singular yucca among all. Mexico is home to 80 percent of all cacti species in the world and my state, Coahuila hosts some of the most rare ones. Texas and Coahuila used to be one nevertheless geopolitical boundaries have not ceased to allow these beautiful beings to continue to live. I was a kid probably 9 years old when Dad took us to the beautiful Big Bend country and I realized that the rostrata yucca lived in both countries, without the need of a passport. These are are the strong reasons why I invested 5 years working on this piece always inspired and motivated, to honor its originality. Why did this plant decide to evolve and become what it is? Many people do not believe plants see, feel or even have desires. If you can tell from a rostrata and the rest of the yuccas you can start to understand its language. This is my small homage to this beautiful being. And now I share it with the world so only that special family will host it in its new home.
