Running in the Rain 2019 - Oil on Cradled Board –16 H x 16 W x 1.5 Inches and ready to hang I walk through the rain storm. The smell of the rain refreshes my brain, spring blowing on my face, I extended my hand to feel the raindrops on my palm. Kept me thinking “what is the umbrella is for?” Is it to keep you dry in rain or shade you from the sun? , I felt trapped under the umbrella; I tilted my head forward to Feel the raindrops land on my cheeks and the sensations as they drip and trickle on my exposed head — I closed my eyes took a deep breath, opened my eyes, released the breath. I tasted the rain and now I know where I’m about to go. I’m moving forward without the umbrella, toward my destination. Cradled with a solid wood frame, the panel won't flex, stretch, or warp. The edges are sanded edges to allow for a finished look that is ready to hang. The painting is signed and dated by the year and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. DENNIS CRAYON REALIST CONTEMPORARY REALISM I’ve earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the State University of New York and later earned a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in painting. I am an active member of Washington, D.C.’s artistic community. My work has been shown locally and nationally.
