Blair Montgomery is a Canadian painter based in Vancouver. A long-time a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, he has exhibited regularly at the Federation Gallery in Vancouver. He lived and worked in Europe and Asia for many years and currently resides on the West Coast. "Living in Europe, especially in Paris and London, provided a rich environment to study art and allowed me to gradually determine and refine my aesthetic concerns. Today, my interest as a painter centres on creating lively images through the strategic placement of form and colour on the canvas. While I endeavor to create tableaus that incorporate fragments of images from Nature, my work is resolutely non-figurative."
