The first of a series of 5, the first large painting I ever painted. Started back in Portugal during my period living there in 2019 and it traveled back to Brazil with me, unfinished. It looked at me, I looked at it, after a long time, I decided to complete it, it was no easy task, the bigger the canvas is, more difficult it seems to keep painting, becomes something ceremonial, so official, but as soon the painting started flowing again, no more than 5 sessions and it was done. Happened. And it illustrates so many of the feelings I had, during that rainy april locked in my room painting in Portugal and the breaking of barriers of painting large paintings. Marks a very important step in my career as an artist and gives me a very happy feeling of accomplishment when I look at it. The very first big one.
