About The Artwork

This piece is double sided, the ll side is made of the same materials but with a different look. It may also be hung vertically or horizontally. This offers 4 different looks and gives choice and options and ability to change just for fun. In certain spaces it may be hard to change furnishings, but this makes it easy to change art. My grandmother was an amazing fiber artist and a huge influence on me. She made most of our clothes and sometimes would make our coats and hats reversible. I loved that, it was like having two coats in one. I like to have options, and that is how I create my art and jewelry. This painting is having four paintings in one! Asian art is also an influence, texture, layers, minimalism and nature are all things I admire. Often I will use recycled or upcycled materials, like silver dust, clear acrylic panels and salt or marble Crystal's for interest and depth. The edging is sometimes distressed for an organic feeling. I will send the piece to be hung vertically using fishing line. I will include hardware for hanging and extra fishing line if you do decide to hang it on the ll side or vertically. There will be a charm on the fishing line in silver embossed with Burke in lieu of signing the piece. This is in keeping with the organic, natural, elemental feeling of the piece. Silver Lining l & ll would be at home in traditional, contemporary or eclectic sittings.
