SOLAR STORM is a painting that belongs to the series dedicated to enlightened trees and nature. This particular way of representing trees in a kind of unreal and mystic atmosphere is a unique and original idea that came to my mind step by step. Celebrating nature through trees that are solitary and standing in the middle of a desert and unreal landscape that becomes a sort of stage, where the theatrical almost mystic light hits them in the darkness. A kind of enlightening to show a way to salvation. But the lonely tree is almost seen in my opinion as the human condition, alone, in the hope of a light that breaks the darkness, a seek for salvation and of hope in an uncertain future. This piece of art is painted with acrylic colors and water based enamels on wood panel, and it has a glossy finishing varnish. I am an Italian painter, illustrator and visual designer. My paintings usually deal with water and motion, a way to express my temper and my love for vitality with a powerful brushstroke. Water in particular is my element, and as a swimmer I am always fascinated by scenes dealing with swimming, windsurfing or water with a strong presence of blue tones. Lately I dedicate my creativity in painting mostly trees enlightened by a superior mystic light as a sign of hope Where they become symbol of rebirth in our endangered world. In this case I feel to have a different approach to art seen as a moment of intimate recollection. I live in Rimini, Italy on the Adriatic coast, and after graduating at the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan, I’ve been working in advertising and communication since 1989. At first as a freelance, then in my own studio, creating images, illustrations, logos, storyboards, brochures, posters, maps, infographics or technical and concept images.
