About The Artwork
This opus was inspired by a memory of my early twenties, in which some friends of mine, including Joe Fawaz and Jay Thurston, went to Tepia Park along the California Coast. We dropped about 300 mics of acid and were enjoying another gorgeous California day, when I noticed a particular leaf lying on the ground. LSD is an interesting drug. If you drop some, contrary to the public perception, you will never see an elephant that isn't there. If, however, you encounter an actual elephant, it will be the most elephant elephant you ever saw. This one special leaf contained veins and arteries and music and light. An amazing leaf. The very best leaf I ever saw. That leaf has inspired years of my artwork. By the way, children, NEVER, EVER, use drugs. They open your head and take you to interesting places, but some folks simply can not handle them. I used acid and marijuana for about two years, but after that time, I stopped. I had gotten everything I could get out of them. So kiddies, DON'T, but if you do, after the fun is over, leave them alone. I know a young lad, now 40+ years old, who tried meth and heroin and liked them so much that he has now decided to devote his entire life to pursuing pharmacy. DON'T JOIN HIM ON THAT ROAD. Drugs can be very dangerous. Great experiences now and then, but not the continuing lifestyle to pursue. It goes nowhere but to the city dump.

I am an Experimentalist. As youngsters, we are allowed to create fantasy worlds, filled with imaginary friends. Then we are told to color within the lines. RIDICULOUS! There are two paths to greatness among human beings; accident and pioneering exploration. Neither of these involve painting within the lines. Both are forms of Experimentalism. Accident occurs when, by happenstance, a new ideas is formulated by a trained observer while viewing a random happening. Penicillin for example. pioneering is terribly expensive, because many pioneers are represented by the dried out bones on the desert. I am concerned about the future. Technology continues to advance at a speed with which humans cannot assimilate. I believe people are not able to adjust to the speed with which this is happening. Don't you hate trying to use 411 service or the robot "customer service lines"? My work is a combination of futurism, expressionism, nature, android technology and human body forms. This is known as NEO CONSTRUCTIVISM. I juxtapose natural realistic forms with strange mechanical forms. I take a broad range of powerful colors and arrange them in various unusual positions. My devotional is to beauty, but not in the conventional sense. That is Neo Constructivism. ALL ARTWORK IS SHIPPED IN A TUBE, READY TO MATT AND FRAME.
