About The Artwork

Symbol of fertility and motherhood, cows are sacred to Hindus. They are protected by law and nobody dares to harass, mistreat them, and not kill them to take advantage of their meat. To many Westerners, this sacralization seems paradoxical in a country where poverty and hunger reign. The origin of this custom is lost in the past. Almost 2,500 years ago, population growth in India led to the reduction of pasture land in favor of vegetable crops. The cows, less and less numerous, were then kept for their milk and manure. This coincides with the arrival in that country of Buddhism, a religion that protects these ruminants.

I was born and live in Menorca. The passion for painting comes from my childhood, my influence on art is until today Carmen Mercadal, one of my grandmothers with whom I shared many endearing moments. Painting allows me to keep the childhood curiosity and let me express visually what is known and unknown the things are in the heart, the mind or in the subconscious, I am really fascinated about the power it has to take me to unsuspected places, it is a link to within. Inspiration and intuition guides my process from beginning to end - subject, style, and medium. Always enjoying the practice and being in discovery, staying in this open space of creation invites you to experience the work as a way of learning and part of the journey in this life. It drives me to generously live and give from my heart. I feel the painting as an essential activity for me, a way of living.Creative expression for me, is the highest form of communication and connection there is
