"Sagra del Signore della Nave" is part of my long term project "Le Maschere Nude" approaching historical memory. It is an evocation of exile. It is a partially unwoven and nude canvas (treated with transparent binder though), with touches of acrylic painting. The unwoven parts compose the drawing by integrating "emptiness/blankness" in the painting. This process that I have been developing for over 20 years, is partly inspired by the "white space (empty space)" of China's traditional paintings. “[…] Ludivine Allegue, […] a pictorial work where the canvas gains prominence full of pain, mystery, memory and poetry.” José Fco Megías Flórez, CONDE DUQUE MUSEUM, MADRID, SPAIN “[…]her artistic world is: integrating, binding, vast, extensive, extensible. Wherever she looks, she sees something relevant to her work. But if she closes her eyes, she also can see blankness, absence, blackness and memories […], she knows how to codify them to make them part of her creative process.” Pilar G. RODRÍGUEZ; “Ludivine ALLEGUE – Lo que el lienzo esconde” DESCUBRIR EL ARTE Nº233, JULY 2018. Exhibitions of this artwork: 2019 – “80 años Fin de guerra” (collective show, other artists include Juan Genovés, El Keller, Clemente Bernad...), Sala Galileo, Madrid, 1-30 April 2019 2018 –Art Banchel, http://artbanchel.com, Estudio 14/15, Madrid, Spain.
