Saint Tropez, France, a summer cafe under bougainvillea. Watercolor illustration. A beautiful corner of Saint Tropez, a street cafe under a blooming bougainvillea. A heavenly place, a beautiful resort. A place where famous impressionist and other artists worked. In 1892, the artist Paul Signac, fascinated by this picturesque place, settled in a villa in Saint-Tropez, many famous artists followed his example: Matisse, Bonnard, Marquet, Derain. Their work is widely represented in the city museum of painting Annonsiades. Until the 1950s. the city was little different from other fishing villages and was little known to the general public. He gained new popularity, especially among wealthy people, in 1956, when the famous film And God Created Woman was filmed in Saint-Tropez with Brigitte Bardot in the title role [8]. Later, a series of comedy films about "the gendarme from Saint-Tropez" with Louis de Funes in the title role added to the city's popularity. In 1969, the movie "Pool" (Alain Delon, Romy Schneider) was released, which takes place in Saint-Tropez. Now it is a paradise and a prestigious resort. In my picture, there is a cafe with turquoise chairs, a cozy shuttered house and a luxurious bougainvillea bush. The work was done on watercolor cotton paper and paints of a professional series of archival quality. I hope the picture will please the new owner.
