Sainte-Chapelle, RWV 561-04 Painting

Sainte-Chapelle! This little gem purely made of glass and light amidst the heart of Paris, 1st arrondissement close to the cathedral Notre-Dame, I discovered quite late after countless stays at Paris. I never saw such a light, such a floating elegance and I never saw colours like these. I did the quatriptych in autumn 2020 right after I visited Sainte-Chapelle first time. The narrow side of the painting is creamy white, the same colour that was used for the painting itself. Here I used the creamy white yellow of the Meulière limestone of the Paris' region.
