This is oil painting on high quality linen and custom made canvas. I'm currently creating a new series of paintings about solar system. I'm inspired by structure of celestial bodies. This one was inspired by surface of Salacia. It is a trans-Neptunian object in the Kuiper belt Salacia was discovered on 22 September 2004 at the Palomar Observatory in California, United States. Salacia orbits the Sun at an average distance that is slightly greater than that of Pluto. It was named after the Roman goddess of salt water Salacia and has a single known moon, Actaea.
I have used various techniques to create a highly textured abstract piece. It is mixed-media painting in heavy impasto with oil paints, gesso, plastic, sand and shingles. Finished with a glaze of UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage. The colors may look a little bit different depending on the screen. This artwork is signed and dated on the back. A signed Certificate Of Authenticity will be included with the artwork. Edges are painted so it doesn't require any frame.
Size: 120 H 100 W x 4 cm 47.2" x 35.9" x 1.6"
This original artwork is currently for sale.

Pamela Rys is a contemporary artist born in Czestochowa, Poland in 1987. She currently resides and works in London, United Kingdom. Pamela Rys received her M.F.A. in 2017 after pursuing studies in fine art painting, design in visual communication, and fashion design. Pamela Rys' work is grounded in her admiration for planet Earth, the universe, and pranic healing energies. Inspired by her mother, who was also an artist, Pamela Rys began painting at a young age. Despite losing her mother at the age of four, Pamela Rys found a way to connect with her soul through her creative activities, feeling a unique connection to her when she paints. Pamela Rys continues to find solace in her creative pursuits. Pamela Rys' work is characterised by a vibrant and dynamic use of colour, combined with meticulous attention to detail. Her paintings often feature intricate patterns and motifs, layered and blended together to create a sense of depth and movement. Pamela Rys' abstract compositions explore a complex interplay of textures and colours. Her style is defined by the sculptural use of paint, as she builds her densely textured paintings with multiple layers of thick gesso, paint, wood, sand, plastic, and other materials to create unique three-dimensional works of art. As an eco-conscious artist, Pamela Rys uses recycled and sustainable materials whenever possible, and she never uses art materials created from animal products or tested on animals. This philosophy of creativity is close to her heart because she believes that the suffering of animals is not necessary to create works of art. Pamela Rys' work has been exhibited in galleries and art fairs around the world. Her paintings can be found in numerous private collections, and she has been featured in various art publications and media outlets.
