I am based near Marathon, Greece where I have been living since my early childhood years, so it is only natural that I have been inspired by the sharp contrasts created on landscapes by the bright Mediterranean sun. During the endless summers of my childhood in the coastal town which I grew up in, I enjoyed painting as well as experimenting with a variety of materials and techniques. At the age of 10, I also attended correspondence courses in painting from the ABC French School of Art based in Athens. As a teenager, I won the “Filona” International Young Talent Award in painting. During my studies in Economics and Business at the University of Athens, I continued to develop my drawing techniques under the guidance of Stefanos Anthopoulos. My post graduate studies in Sussex, England, gave me the opportunity to enjoy the work of artists based in Brighton through exhibitions, local galleries and Open House events. After completing my master’s degree in International Economics, besides starting a new painting course, next to Irene Komninou, I also attended Contemporary Art and Collage seminars at Trii Art Hub in Athens, Greece. The artists who have influenced me are Voula Massoura, Njideka Akunyili Crosby and Stella Kapenazou. Presently, I am working as a senior telecommunications company executive in Athens. I love travelling and seize every opportunity to get away with my two teenage children and my husband. During our trips, I draw inspiration from every little or big experience, above all, from nature whose beauty is endless. I work mostly in acrylics on canvas but also enjoy mixing various media and collage. I welcome private commissions and enjoy dialogue with clients to create tailor-made art solutions. Enjoy my work on instagram Thanks for stopping by ☺
