About The Artwork
'Saturn' was made on a tempered, circular glass 'canvas'. The design was created with resin on both the front and the back of the glass. The rings pass right behind Saturn as well as in front. The planet itself is on the front face of the glass and liquid resin, poured in multiple layers, is used to create the cloud bands on Saturn. This is a commissioned piece and the angle of the rings and the moons have been added in the correct positions for the date of the clients birth date. As an added feature the resin has UV sensitive pigments added and so Saturn glows in UV black-light. If you are interested in commissioning a piece like this please get in touch, fuzzycomma.com
