About The Artwork
This canvas was sliced at the bottom right as I was unwrapping it (new). I used duct tape to repair the 1-2" slice on the front and back edge. So, this was a canvas to really play with. As it progressed rather well, I felt bad that it hid the split. This feeling that I was not being honest, related to some of the emerging images. This resulted in my using much other duct tape across the painting and painting it and scratching it and such. Eventually this led to writing on the canvas heretic, which led me to covering up the writing with duct tape and writing on the tape "heretics' confession" with a confession and arrows pointing to the slice.
