Sea of Sin is a digital painting. Referencing dadaist frottage, twentieth century collage, and questioning modern painting and printmaking in the age of technology. Sea of Sin is a limited edition print run of 5,000. This artwork is part of a series called "Part of Your Daily 5,000". The series comments on the up to 5,000 ads we see each day. Each work uses up to 5,000 advertising and marketing images to create a single landscape. The work is intended to encourage the viewer to imagine their daily visual recall as a single shot and question their own visual consumption.

Lopez-Barahona was born in Brisbane. She studied Fine Art at Queensland College of Art graduating with Honours in 2004. She is driven to reference and propel the cannon of aesthetics as a contemporary artist. Liberated to use the medium and style which best articulates the concept rather the other way around. The overarching theme of her work is the spiritual phenomena. Her landscapes discuss the majestic and sublime from a Christian perspective. Lopez-Barahona's prominent influences include John Singer-Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, William Turner, Lucian Freud, Jenny Saville, Arthur Streeton and Gerhard Richter.
