About The Artwork
I was inspired by the shape of the metal surface that I was about to paint on when I rode my bike by the entrance to Seaside Park. I loved the way the trees lined up against the sky and water and decided to photograph it and make a painting in my studio based on the photograph. Acrylic paint is an easy to use water-based medium and I wanted to create a very textured surface for this piece.
