• Second Best • Painting

• Inspired by the Elvis song he dedicated to his wife Priscilla called “Always on My Mind”, I painted “Second Best” to explain what can happen when a married man had fallen in love with another woman. • In my abstract, I portrayed a sad love story among 3 dogs, namely: Wife Hilaria with a red hat at right looking sad and stressed headed east; her husband Anderson in the middle shown whispering in her ear; and an unidentified white poodle at the far left clinging on top of Anderson’s butt. • Perhaps among the top entertainers of the 21st Century, Elvis Presley has had many women going after him especially in the evening; and his lovely wife Priscilla did not even think of calling Frank Sinatra. • And while dogs cannot even talk Tagalog, or do other things like human beings, a female dog lover who failed to meet the need of her partner would prompt the latter to look for another - making the former not feeling amazing. • Not No.1 anymore, pero segundo mejor.
