"Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore" is part of my long term project "Le Maschere Nude" approaching historical memory. It is an evocation of exile, tells the arrival of Spanish refugees in Tunisia back in 1939. It is acrylic and oil painting on partially unwoven canvas. The unwoven parts compose the drawing by integrating "emptiness/blankness" in the painting. When I un-weave my canvas, I intend to reveal an unsaid story. The deconstruction of the canvas echoes that of the known story in order to retrieve the untold. I painted "Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore" from Granada to Madrid, finally finishing it during an artistic residency at the Museum CAV La Neomudéjar (Nov15-Apr16). It comes with a basic black frame that keeps together the two canvases that form the artwork. It also comes with one 21 x 60 cm gliclée print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310g of the digital radiography of the artwork. It reveals the story of the painting, unveils what is not visible on the painting at first glance. It is printed with 1cm white handling border in addition to size stated, and is proofed, checked and quality assured by painter and photographer Ludivine Allegue. “[…]her artistic world is: integrating, binding, vast, extensive, extensible.
