Lana Hollin, Svetune Born in Russia, currently resides in the US Occupation - Photographer “Art has fascinated and enchanted me since childhood, it always seemed majestic, lofty and unreachable.” As a child, Lana loved to paint – it was mostly rough drawings and sketches of models. Later she studied fashion design, worked as a professional photographer, but never got to turn her childhood love for painting into a profession. “I would have never thought that I would be able to create paintings and become an artist who displays her works for the World to see!" During a deep post-divorce depression, struggling with emptiness and loneliness, Lana almost lost her desire to live. She felt surrounded by the dark hopeless twilights of life. She hit the rock bottom of gray numbness. This is when she remembered her childhood joy of creating art. Lana began to paint and finally felt alive again! “I remember that moment when I just wanted to paint everything around me!" All her first canvases were painted by hand without brushes or any other instruments. She simply wanted ‘to feel it again’! Splashing out the brightest colors and creating seemingly incongruous combinations, Lana was reviving and creating her new World! This was the resurrection of Lana Hollinger the person, and the birth of Lana Hollin-Svetune the artist. Lana is a self-taught artist. While forming her own unique style, following intuition and deep Love for the Creator, Lana continues to grow and expand her talent. Her unique creations are available in various styles, including: "intuitive painting", abstractionism, impressionism, spontaneous realism. Expressing the whole range of feelings and emotions through colors, shapes, unusual combinations, textures, Lana strives to blur the boundaries between the physical and the spiritual.
