About The Artwork
Serge Gainsbourg became famous as a singer-songwriter, working in many different musical styles. He also tried his hand at cinema and literature, directed several films and video-clips and composed more than forty film scores. In the mid-1950s, he used the pseudonyms Julien Gris and Julien Grix before choosing Serge Gainsbourg as his artist name. In the 1980s, he also invented an alter ego called Gainsbarre.
