About The Artwork

Artist: Muriel Guilboa Length: 59.7 cm Width: 49.7 cm Depth: 2.5 cm Weight-: 950 g Color: Multi-color (As shown in the image) Material: canvas, Acrylic Shape- Rectangle Painting Style: Aboriginal art Painting: Made on Stretched canvas with delicate acrylic paint Painting theme: The Seven Sisters (Pleiades) Star Dreaming Story This is an Australian Aboriginal the Seven Sisters (Pleiades) Star Dreaming story inspired acrylic painting. There’re traces of kangaroos(The Aboriginal art symbol for a kangaroo is parallel lines with outward facing barbs that suggest the tracks left in the sand by the creature's hind legs.) appear at the bottom of the painting. This painting is intricate, calming and luminous. The Seven Sisters Dreamtime story is an epic tale of lust, love, passion and danger. Artists who paint this Dreaming explain it is the story of an Ancestral Being in the guise of a man who relentlessly pursues seven sisters (Ancestral Women) over land and sky. The Star Dreaming story of the Seven Sisters is one of the most widely distributed ancient stories amongst Aboriginal Australia. The songline for this story covers more than half the width of the continent, from deep in the Central Desert out to the west coast. The songline travels through many different language groups and different sections of the narrative are recognized in different parts of the country. Aboriginal art is closely linked to religious ceremonies or rituals. It includes work made in many different ways including painting on leaves, wood carving, rock carving, sculpting, ceremonial clothing and sand painting. It is an important part of the world's oldest continuous cultural tradition, based on totems and the Dreaming. Symbols are used in aboriginal art, to show different things. While the meaning of these symbols is often shared, they can change meaning within the same piece, and they can be different between different groups. Aboriginal art is a language in itself, communicating through beautiful patterns. This started around 30,000 to 40,000 years ago. Dot paintings are now internationally recognized as unique and integral to Australian Aboriginal Art. Dot painting originated 40 years ago back in 1971. Note: This eye catchy aboriginal art work is available in different sizes, colors and designs etc. on your special demand. So please feel free to contact me. Thank you for checking out my shop! I hope this artwork will make you feel content and soothe the soul. “My Australian aboriginal dotted art is mostly perfect due to its imperfection and I hope that you will feel my soul, my feelings, my love, my energies and all of me through my art. The dot technique that I use ensures that the painting is made with a lot of love and attention; I place these drops of paint one by one in a meditative rhythm because I am highly intrigued by these gradient colors, natural or geometrical shapes. I enjoy working with colors and various styles of art. In my art works, I let meditation lead me and therefore, it is abstract. Please have a look at my collections and enjoy your valued purchasing item with me. I am sure your friends and family will like your choices from my collection.” -Muriel Guilboa

I was born in Paris - France in 1960, when I was 9 years old, my father, who all his life was in the shadow of the Holocaust that took his family from him decided to make Aliya (immigration) to Israel. In retrospect, I realized that my experiences as a child - a new immigrant influenced (among other things) my artworks. My infinite search for the whole within the imperfection, attracted me to a combined art of abstract style, pointillism, dotted mandalas, modern-contemporary art, and my highlight, the art that makes me feel most complete: Aboriginal-inspired art. When I walk into my studio and start a new artwork, I am usually in a meditative state, I am connected to the totality and cosmic wisdom that my color points evoke in me and in most cases I do not know what the end result will be. My dotted art is perfect mostly thanks to its imperfections and I hope my soul, my feelings, my love, my energies break through my art.
