ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I am currently into black, or very dark tones, as here blue and violet. The texture is raw and expressive as are the body language of the two women, one with her hand on her hair, looking to the side, and the other one raising her hand to cast a shadow on her face, as if she had the sun in her eyes, ironically enough minding the darkness of the painting. In some parts I have scribbled a short "poem": "With the sun in our eyes and sand on our mind/we spent the rainy day in the shadow of our own". I wanted to catch a raw, dark yet beautiful feeling of confusion that love sometimes brings.

I paint mostly with acrylics on canvas, using bold brush strokes and palette knife to create structures. My art is characterized by vivid colors and clear forms, with a figurative style on the edge of becoming abstract. The human figure and the portrait is a main motif, creating new forms when overlapped and painted in different colors. I play with the borders of figurative and abstract and strive for balance and contrast in color.
