About The Artwork

"When there is cold and war, when each individual ceases to matter when death is waiting for us at every step and we are surrounded by an icy dead desert, then and only then do we begin to realize the importance of each person who is next to us. It is at this time of cold and death that it is very important to find a shelter where one can warm oneself, if not with fire, then at least with human warmth and sympathy. A place where mortal loneliness leaves us..." The painting is made with oil paints on high-quality canvas stretched on a stretcher. The size of the painting is 70*70 cm.

I am a professional artist with a degree in fine arts. I graduated from the Moscow Academy of Printing as an illustrator. Currently, I live and work in Serbia with my family. My paintings are in private collections in Italy, the United States, France, Germany, China, Russia, Portugal, England, Australia, and other countries. I create figurative paintings with mandatory plotlines. I accumulate, rethink, and process what happens in reality, and compare it with world history, mythology, religion, and my personal experiences and thoughts. I call what I do "subjective realism" because I supplement reality with my thoughts and feelings. My paintings it is a world, that is interesting to examine. It is even more interesting to decipher the meaning and plot of the image, as I use many symbols, both well-known and invented by me. But every viewer, looking at any of my paintings, can see their own story; in a sense, I take them as co-authors. For me, the most important thing is that I can express my ideas, my thoughts, my attitude to reality and the world through my paintings and, of course, share this with other people.
