Original acrylic on linen canvas painting by Carmen de Bruijn In my memory shepherds are old men with beards. But nowadays there are also modern women who are shepherdesses. It seems to me a soothing profession to be among the sheep all day long. That is what this painting reminds me of, rest and peace. This artwork is painted on a quality stretched linen canvas with a sturdy wooden frame of 4 cm. The sides are painted as well, so there is no need to frame it. The painting has a subtle satin varnish finish layer. A wire is attached to the back, the painting is ready to hang. When shipped, the painting will be well packed and protected with foam board, plastics and bubble wrap in a sturdy cardboard box.
