From a series of studies inspired by my favourite landscapes, this large abstract work explores the intimate relationship between memory and abstract form. I use a variety of approaches to build the abstracted colours and forms, in order to build an overall image that is dynamic and engaging.

I love the sensuality of paint, used in direct, gestural brushstrokes, and its ability to evoke the rough, raw experience of the natural world.
