Latika (b. 1993) is a self-taught artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She paints vibrant portraits, often with surreal elements, that reflect on the nature of personal identity and somatic memory. Her practice is motivated by a desire to know herself fully, even the parts she doesn’t understand, and is predicated on the transformative power of curiosity about the self.
