ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Living by this lake I began this painting al fresco and at the time it portrayed a bright daytime sky. Later working on it in the studio I decided to add a figure to the bench and to suggest a person sitting enjoying the peace, quiet and solitude, henceforth the sunset. I used Acrylic paints as I find when working outdoors it is much easier to handle and to transport back to the studio. I hope that the viewer will feel peace and tranquility suggested by this piece.
