Entirely hand painted with spray cans, hand-cut stencils and acrylic paint. This work is inspired by screenshots of Siri activity on the iphone. Capturing the moment where graphic elements become abstracted into glowing color fields, the painting speaks to contemporary cyber culture and the pervasive look towards the smartphone as an omnipresent, omnipotent power. The title "Sorry", coming from the original Siri script of the screenshot: "Sorry, I didn't get that", speaks to our strangely personal connection to computer programming that begins to mimic human empathy. The painting is done on a solid wood panel with clean natural wood sides. Matte finish. Ready to hang with D-rings attached. Recommended alongside the same size, same subject matter piece "Help".
