I wanted to bring an esoteric connotation to the light by making it flow like a liquid. It is a source hidden somewhere in the distant heavens and becomes visible as it approaches the earthly forms. These rock-like formations float in a density halfway between air and water and are like beings in weightlessness, suspended, held by invisible wires.
