Painting: Acrylic, Enamel on Canvas, Wood.
Inspired by Nature & Jackson Pollock. I waited for a warm sunny spring day to work outdoors & unleashed full physicality onto surface using large wooden sticks dipped into pails of paint. The painting soon became a conflict between elements of dark and light taking hours & every ounce of energy before finally ending with a stroke of white enamel through the centre. With a mix of relief, gratitude & Triumph I raised my hands to the sky and shouted "Yes! Thank you!"
- The painting shifts and changes depending on light with contrasts deepening into the evening.
-This painting literally feels alive in a dance when standing in front of.
- What would Jackson Pollock have felt and thought of it?
Thankyou you Jackson.
