Contact us.Nard Lee is a Miami-based contemporary artist and self-described revisionist historian whose large-scale mixed-media paintings document cultural memory, identity, and truth. Working across canvas, acrylic, chalk, paper, and oil pastels, Lee creates bold, layered works that confront racial inequity, class divides, and the stories history tries to silence.
Born and raised in the stark contrasts of Southeast Washington, DC, Lee's perspective is drawn from the lens of the underestimated observer. His art is never decoration; it is documentation, a visual archive of resilience and reckoning.
Lee's work balances beauty and disquiet, drawing influence from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dali, and urban expressionist Marcus Jansen while forging a voice entirely his own. Each painting is a cryptic narrative that rewards close attention, with profound stories embedded in every layer.
A Featured Artist on Loupe (Apple TV), Lee has exhibited at Red Dot Miami, received the Circle Foundation Artistic Excellence Award, and been named one of World Biz Magazine's 30 Artists to Collect. His work has been featured in Art Tour Magazine, DESTIG Magazine, and Contemporary Arts Curator Magazine.
