About The Artwork
This Andalusian stallion is part of the horses series. I wanted to portray an emotional portrait which captures the grace and power of the animal. It is my intention to portray a sense of motion as well as warmth with this painting. I aimed to produce a vibrant portrait that is full of interesting mark making. I always try to find a balance between realism, emotion and colour saturation.
