About The Artwork

My inspiration comes from the enchanting and delicate beauty of springtime blooms. The pastel pink and lilac hues are inspired by the soft, gentle colors associated with spring and my desire to capture the renewal and freshness that season brings. I hope that viewers will feel a sense of serenity, renewal, and a connection to the rejuvenation of life that spring represents. The pink and lilac colors often symbolize romance, youth, and tenderness, so the painting evokes feelings of love, nostalgia, and the promise of new beginnings. I want to encourage the viewer to contemplate the transient yet exquisite nature of spring’s floral beauty. The style chosen for the painting is likely influenced by the desire to capture the soft and delicate nature of spring blooms. It has an impressionist style to convey the play of light and color in the scene, The use of pink and lilac is prominent to create a soothing and romantic atmosphere, aligning with the emotions associated with spring and its blossoms. The style selected is integral in conveying the delicate and ephemeral qualities of the subject matter and the emotional response it seeks to elicit from the viewers. I used Acrylic paint because this medium gives the painting a bright striking colors and vibrant finishing This painting is very textured. It has many layers of paint to give it a 3D effect.

Biography Modern impressionist artist. Rawia Ghandour Zantout is a self taught artist. Rawia finds her inspiration in the works of prominent Impressionist painters many of whom lived and worked in the south of France where she lived and studied. Rawia Zantout is an experienced artist based in Lebanon whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, London, Paris and Dubai. Through the central themes relating to nature and landscapes, she endeavors to reveal nature's secrets through her works. In her artistic process, Zantout employs over fifteen layers of acrylics on canvas, creating engaging and "magical" textural effects. In 2006 Rawia was commissioned to create a range of paintings for Banks with a focus on ecological themes mainly present in the landscapes of her homeland, Lebanon. Her works were printed as lithographs and distributed to thousands of bank customers. In 2007, the artist, torn by the turmoil in her country, delved into the political side of art. She thus sought to crystallize the March 14 Revolution in Martyrs Square (which is hung in the former Lebanese prime minister’s office) Rawia was also commissioned to paint several portraits of World and Lebanese leaders including Vladimir Putin, Troels Povlsen, lebanese President Michel Aoun, lebanese prime minister Saad Harriri, ex lebanese prime minister Fouad Seniora and many others. Rawia has participated in over 25 exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad. Her artworks was displayed in Four Season’s hotel in Beirut before the tragic explosion of the port. Rawia was nominated for the world Global Art Award 2018 which took place last year in Dubai and was granted the Finalist certificate in the painting category.
