About The Artwork
Many years ago I was sailing in the Aegean, the wind had started to pick up and suddenly on the horizon loomed this great white ship!. She looked gleaming and clean and her twin blue funnels with a giant X towered over our little sailing boat. She looked antique but perfectly preserved. I later found out she was built in 1931 to sail between San Francisco and Honolulu as the SS. Lurline but had been sold to Chandris to operate as a cruise ship. From the Pacific to the Aegean, what a contrast!
