About The Artwork
St. Isaac's Cathedral - today's largest Orthodox Church of St. Petersburg and one of the highest dome structures in the world. During the construction 43 rocks of minerals were used. The basement is faced with granite, and the walls - gray marble blocks with a thickness of about 40-50 cm. On four sides St. Isaac's Cathedral is framed by mighty eight-column porticoes decorated with statues and bas-reliefs. Above the cathedral's enormous size gilded dome on the drum surrounded by granite columns rises. The dome itself is made of metal, and its gilding took about 100 kg of worm gold. St. Isaac's Cathedral is sometimes called a museum of colored stone. The inner walls are faced with white marble with a finishing panel of green and yellow marble, jasper and porphyry.

She studied at the Krasnodar College of Art and then entered the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg (I.E.Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture). Natalya specializes in landscape, portrait and still life paintings. She works in realistic tradition created on impression. The young artist has participated in numerous exhibitions across Russia. Her works are in collections of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts, in private collections in Russia, Ukraine, China and England.
