Star Maker Painting

My painting is inspired by the act of painting. Nothing happens until I start manipulating my media. Paintings are given titles after they are finish which leaves the process open and undefined. The focus is on the moment of painting. That act propels the process. My paintings are best viewed at arm's length. That is my orientation to the painting. I invite the viewer to "read" my paintings by following the hand of the artist. Due to the lack of a known brush stroke the details of my paintings go deep. The use of clear resin layers allows light to get behind glazes creating an inner glow. The depth of the paint and resin layering creates a 3-D visual experience as the viewers position shifts. Star Maker has a reflective finish. Materials used are, urethane and acrylic binders, pigments in dispersal water, dry iridescent pigments and resin on hollowcore panel.
