Stellar #24 Painting

Painting ships in a StrongBox™; Highest quality materials are used in my work (Lascaux and Golden Acrylics and Mediums; Cotton canvas; Gallery Wrap Stretcher, painted white sides - no frame needed. Stellar #24 is an acrylic on canvas painting from an on-going series. The idea was inspired by an article I read about “a possible non-physical realm of existence to which various phenomena (psychic and other) are ascribed.” I created an ethereal looking quality to invoke a feeling that the viewer is catching a glimpse of phenomena (spiritual, deep space, water, weather patterns). Each horizontal panel functions as a scene, yet the painting viewed as a whole, has unity, depth, color, and appears illuminated from within. My ultimate intention is to draw the viewer in to experience a moment of quiet reflection in the midst of our fast-paced world.
