ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Stillness" started as a random abstract with no idea of the end result. Well, my love for the water started developing, and this ocean scene emerged. This painting is full of texture, (which I love by the way) and multiple layers of paint. I currently have this painting hanging in my home and it looks great! I get to enjoy her for a little bit before she travels to her forever home. "Stillness" is ready to hang, signed on the front and signed and titled on the back. The sides are painted black.

Love of the ocean and birds is my main focus but I dabble in many subject matters to keep my creative juices flowing and to alleviate boredom. I have studied oil painting with professional artists and through workshops. I enjoy painting many different subjects, but I have a fond connection with painting water and boats. Born in Florida, I spent a lot of time around the ocean living in Jacksonville and Key West before moving to Georgia. I paint in my studio at The Artisan Resource Center in Marietta, Georgia.
