I was listening to Nina Simone's cover version of Strange Fruit, with a very impressive image of the situation, I started to look for pictures and paint this work about black men and the disgusting treatment, the barbaric way they've been killed, enslaved and hunted. That song is definitely one of the deepest and most vibrant songs in my repertoire.
