House of the merchant Mikhailov ? House number 1. An architectural monument of the beginning of the 19th century - 1868 (1863 according to the principles of classical architecture). Tall with a stone mezzanine, in the most prominent place, it was considered one of the best houses of Irbit. The house of the merchant Mikhailov V.P. - the Vologda merchant of the 1st guild traded in Irbit for 50 years. An honorary citizen of the city traded skins of seals. "Grandfather of the Irbit Fair." After his death, his widow Alevtina Petrovna in 1911 presented the mansion to the city to open a children's shelter in it. This is exactly what the city authorities did, and since the building turned out to be much more spacious, there was a place in it for the Catherine Women's Primary School, in which the children of the poor studied for free, as well as the city public library and museum. In 1991, the GOSTEKh (State Hospitality Partnership of Crushing Owners) was located in this building, then there was the DOSAAF school, now it is in dilapidated condition.
