Picture from the "Structures" series. My goal was for the painting tissue of my works to reflect my perception of the passing time, of childhood images that disappear in my memory. The impression of the process of melting a film that can no longer be recreated. To get this impression on the canvases, I use a blur on the construction planes, creating the illusion of sfumato, which are meant to create an additional impression of the apparent stoppage of the flow of forms. In the disappearing tissues of the structures of some paintings, I try to express my anxiety by introducing into them various tensions of lines with blurred, soft edges, like delicately uttered individual words taken out of the context of the story of someone whom I no longer remember...

My first meeting with ceramics took place in 1984. Ceramics has always been so fascinating for me that I cannot imagine my life without it. Painting absorbed me much later, however it became as important as ceramics. Ceramics snd painting will stay with me till the end of my life. I am doing my best to be honest in my artistic creation. I want to and have to be honest. Only then I will be happy... As regards painting, I perceive it as an artistic manifestation that exists in parallel to the one discussed above. I make an attempt to combine those two disciplines, to merge them and thus prove that they are interdependent and inseparable (at least for myself). The issue of transformation of painting into spatial creations is explored as part of searching for individual interpretations of formal relationships between ceramic material and the painting medium. I also address the questions that I raise in easel painting and artistic ceramics: connections between colors, textures and forms of painting expression as such, not only in easel images, but also in sculptural works, wherein it is achieved through unique conditions of unconventional firing processes.
