This painting is taken from a drawing that I did at a botanical Garden in Hong Kong. It turns out, this particular bird was a very social creature that seemed to enjoy his modeling role.He sat perched nearby and watched, head tilted, as I drew his portrait. The artwork is a masonite panel with paper adhered to the face with gesso.
