Suck Up Painting

I am a Chicagoland-based artist practicing in mixed media paintings. My works are textured and abstract using materials like plaster, ink, oil, and acrylic. My compositions are exploratory in nature, each an attempt to familiarize myself with material behavior and tonal attitudes, favoring muted palettes in the pursuit of neutrality and visual balance. I am driven by my understanding of sophistication relative to stylistic trends, aiming for each piece to reflect a progression of thematic maturity. I enjoy partnering with spacemakers to have my paintings adorn a multitude of settings, putting into focus art’s value based on its perspectival appreciation and bridging the gap between the collector and the homemaker, or the curator and the designer.
