About The Artwork
From a photograph, as most of my work, the face of this child is one I could not resist. Although I kept the photo for a long time in my "possibilities" file, she never got passed over, and finally I just had to create her when the time came. This is a small painting, 8.5x8.5, all wood, hand-made frame of my own making, in oak with only a slight tint. I found the contrasts of colors so nice in this one and I accentuated the green of her sweater and eyes. I hope you'll enjoy her in a special place.
