About The Artwork
Drive back in time to an era where cars and drive-ins were it. This piece was created for use by South Orange, NJ, for their 2016 Summer Nights Concert Series, but I hold the copyright and the original work. It's painted on two separate 140lb. Arches Hot Press Watercolor Paper and is signed. The work is framed with glass, in a sleek black and matte silver moulding which picks up the chrome in the painting, inside a 2-inch black leatherette window mat.

Jennie Traill Schaeffer is a teaching artist, who recently relocated her home studio to Durham, NC, via West Orange, NJ, from her birthplace of Easton, PA. Rooted in subject matter that venerates objects and places, her works asks the viewer to stay a bit longer, look deeper and to slow down. She is informed by a developing meditative practice and exploration of her surrounding environments. While much of her work is non-figurative, her work strives to embody figurative energy, vibrant colors and the use of paint as the vehicle of expression, with linear drawn elements.
