Born in New Jersey, Courtney had a mainly sunshine filled childhood split between Palm Beach in Florida, Cape Cod in Massachusetts and school in London. After a dramatic phone call stopped her on her way to Rhode Island School of Design she ended up studying Modern History and Political Science at The University of Birmingham. With studies in marketing in the early years of her career she found herself marketing investments for over two decades, adding creativity through photography and painting where possible. Having painted on and off for years it was lockdown that gave Courtney the luxury of time to take classes at Glasgow School of Art and find her style creating textural abstract land and seascapes. Since then, she has painted commissions as well as taking part in art festivals, art fairs and exhibitions in London and Kent.
