About The Artwork

A few years ago I painted three panels focusing on the horizon and topographical changes, sourcing my photo archives of past road trips. I wasn’t sure what to do with them, so I put them away in the closet. When we had to cancel travel plans at the start of the quarantine, I rediscovered these panels and began to add to this new TRAVEL SERIES called ON THE ROAD. It’s a departure for me, as most of my work is inspired by my own neighborhood surroundings. With these I am using the grid and the horizon to thread together many diverse landscapes from different parts of the country. They are meant to be shown individually or in diptychs, triptychs, or any other configurations.
